QUESTIONS MARRIED WOMEN ASK IN PRIVATE
A free, 4-week informal summer get-together/Bible study for married women that addresses commonly asked questions about marriage, romance, in-laws, and the range of emotions involved, from a counsellor’s perspective. Each week is independent, so come to one or come to all!
Tuesday evenings 7:00 - 9:00 PM beginning July 8th at Elaine Olson's home.
Here are a few thoughts on the first topic that will be discussed,“How do I balance career, family, church activities etc.?” by Elaine Olson.
To be honest, I’m a little nervous about this topic. That’s because last year I was invited to speak to the female employees of Revenue Canada, in honour of International Women’s Day, specifically on this topic. Four weeks after my talk, my business was selected for a tax audit. I’ve always wondered if it was something I said!
Striking the balance as a married woman can be a huge challenge for sure. Each one of us wears many hats on any given day; mom, wife, lover, nurse, employee, sister, counselor, friend, butcher, baker, candlestick maker. So aware is our society of the demands on women, I found these humorous, but unfortunately very practical, items for sale on the Internet to help us busy women out.
- Pre-Made Scrapbooks
- USB Port – Hair Dryer (Plugs into Your Laptop)
- Drive-Through Fitness Membership
- Desk Top Spa Treatment
The truth is striking a balance externally starts with balance internally. Personal balance. Balanced thoughts, attitudes and emotions, physiological balance and in right balance spiritually. So how do we achieve that? How can we be confidently balanced in every role and responsibility we find ourselves assuming?
