What is ONBOARD?
ONBOARD is a unique team at GTA that is here to offer assistance, aid and direction in the area of technology and its impact on our lives.
What do we do?
The ONBOARD IT Team provides services such as:
- the maintenance of GTA's computers
- the development of this web site
- sermon audio file preparation
- professional I.T. services through various businesses owned or operated by GTA members
- various training sessions and support days where you can get assistance with your computer
We believe that technology can be used to reduce stress and pressures in our lives, as long as it's implemented the right way. Television, for instance, can be relaxing and healthy after a long day of work, if watched in moderation, and not if it cuts into family time or if the programs you watch are filled with inappropriate content. Other forms of technology can be used the same way, and we're here to help you and guide you in the proper and effective use of technology in your life.
This includes learning about how to protect yourself and your kids online, how to use search tools effectively and filter out inappropriate material, and how to use tools like digital photography, email and instant messaging to communicate with friends and family.

What does technology have to do with church?
More than you might think! We help out with a variety of services including computer maintenance and repair, but we also focus on helping GTA use technology as an effective method of communication - and that's an important part of any community. We're also closely tied to the Technical Team, which is responsible for handling areas of ministry for sound, imaging, lighting. The Technical Team works with the music and media teams to provide a worship experience that is impacting, relevant and understandable.

Who is Pedro, and why should we vote for him?
For those of you who have seen the movie, Napoleon Dynamite, you can skip this section. If you haven't, run down to your local video store, rent it, and prepare yourself for a 90 minute awkward moment. |
