Dear GTA KidZone and Student Mission Volunteer,

At GTA we take the role of our volunteers very seriously. We believe that kids are "Plan A" and that it is our job as pastors, teachers and helpers to model Christ to them, to invest in them and to disciple them as they become fully devoted followers of Christ. We also believe that it is our job to protect them. One of the key components in this endeavor is our policy titled "A Plan to Protect the Children, Youth and Leaders of Glad Tidings Assembly." Its main purpose is to help us provide a secure environment for children and youth participating in our programs.

How do we do this?

Every person who currently volunteers to help in an area that involves working with children and youth under the age of 16 years is required to read and understand the GTA "Plan to Protect" policy. They are also required to submit a Police Record Check every two years during their time of involvement. (GTA covers the cost of the Police Record Check for all volunteers.) Please note: The police record check, along with a "Plan to Protect - Sign off" form, which is our record that each volunteer has read the policy, are kept on file permanently.

Interested in being a KidZone or Student Mission Volunteer?

Your interview will be with either Pastor Cheryl or Pam Mitic depending on the area of interest ie: toddlers, nursery, Sunday school leader/helper or MIDZone leader/helper.
