About the "Me and the Kids" Volunteers

Our volunteers have all had experience in a single-parent family, either as the parent or child. Some are single as a result of divorce or separation, some due to the death of a spouse and some by choice. We have a group of volunteers who are encouraging and dedicated to help strengthen and support the growing number of single-parent families in our community.
They've all faced challenges and, although none of them think they are perfect parents, they have learned that with love and determination it is possible for children to grow up emotionally strong and healthy in a single-parent household.

• Do I have to attend Gateway Church to register? No. It is our goal to reach out to the local community.
• What costs are involved? There is no fee for this program. It is our gift to you.
• Is there a maximum age limit for children? The children's program is geared to kids up to grade 8. Check out our Student Mission page for information about our weekly programs for older children and teens.
