DRESSED TO KILL
Week 7 - The Sword of the Spirit
Ephesians 6:1-18
The Word of God is living and active.
Sharper than any double-edged sword, it penetrates even to dividing soul
and spirit, joints and marrow; it judges the thoughts and attitudes of the
heart. Hebrews 4:12
While God has given us everything we need to emerge victorious we need
to understand the difference between authority and power.
Authority is the right to rule
"All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on
earth." Matt.28:18
Power is the ability to rule
"Lord, even the demons are subject to us in Your name."
Luke 10:17

No, despite all these things,
overwhelming victory is ours through Christ, who loved us. And I am
convinced that nothing can ever separate us from his love. Death
can’t, and life can’t. The angels can’t, and the demons can’t. Our
fears for today, our worries about tomorrow, and even the powers of
hell can’t keep God’s love away. Whether we are high above the sky
or in the deepest ocean, nothing in all creation will ever be able
to separate us from the love of God that is revealed in Christ Jesus
our Lord. Rom. 8:36-39 |
