What we can know about God's Final Word

The Word’s eternity: He will always love me
In the beginning the Word already existed… Vs. 1

The Word’s relationship:
He’s interested in me!
The Word was with God… from the very beginning. Vs. 1, 2

The Word’s deity:
His love will always win out.
The Word was God… Vs. 1

The Word creating:
His love made me for a purpose.
He created everything there is. Nothing exists that he didn’t make. Vs. 3

The Word being:
His love is constantly at work in my life.
Everything that was created, received its life from him… Vs. 4

The Word revealing:
His love will show me right and wrong.
The light shines through the darkness, and the darkness can never extinguish it. Vs. 5

The Word incarnating:
His love will show me the way to live.
So the Word became human and lived here on earth among us. He was full of unfailing love and faithfulness. And we have seen his glory, the glory of the only Son of the Father. Vs. 14

Could we with ink the ocean fill and were the skies of parchment made

Were every tree on earth a quill and every man a scribe by trade

To write the love of God above would drain the ocean dry

Nor could the scroll contain the whole though stretched from sky to sky.
